Job Summary
Registered Nurse II at Houston Methodist Cypress Hospital provides professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, conducts nursing assessments, assists with exams and treatment, performs patient education, and maintains medical records. Collaborates with physicians and an interprofessional health care team to ensure compassionate, efficient, high-quality care and achievement of treatment outcomes. Demonstrates clinical competence in patient care, uses technology and medications safely, and may assume leadership roles such as charge nurse or preceptor, contributing to unit or hospital-wide initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of education program approved by the credentialing body for the required credential(s) indicated below in the Certifications, Licenses and Registrations section
- Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
- RN - Registered Nurse - Texas State Licensure - Texas Board of Nursing_PSV Compact Licensure - must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days (if establishing Texas residency) and BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA) - American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- Graduate of nursing education program approved by credentialing body
- Twelve months registered nurse experience in a healthcare environment
- Texas RN licensure (Texas Board of Nursing; PSV Compact; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency)
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
