Job Summary
Delivers coordinated nursing care for Med-Surg patients, supervises nursing staff, and coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking, professional and supervisory discretion. Participates in discharge planning, collaborates with the multidisciplinary team to provide a safe, healing environment, and guides patient/family education throughout the care continuum. The role emphasizes applying the nursing process, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring care continuity across shifts.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
- ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support): Required
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN): Preferred
- Acute care facility experience: Preferred
