RN II - Labor & Delivery (night shift)

Job Summary
The RN II - Labor & Delivery provides professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process for patients in the assigned unit and coordinates care throughout the hospital. The ideal candidate will direct and assist in activities of ancillary personnel, participate in patient teaching, and cooperate with other healthcare team members. Required qualifications include current CA RN licensure, AHA BLS certification, and other department-specific certifications that must be obtained within the provisional period.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice registered nursing in the State of California
- Current AHA BLS required upon hire
- ACLS, NRP and PALS certification as required by Department
Desired Qualifications
- Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting preferred
- Knowledge of hospital and nursing policy and procedure
- Knowledge of the function of other departments within the facility
Additional Requirements
- Certifications must be completed before the 90 day provisional period
- Must always be completed prior to being assigned to full patient care
