Job Summary
Provide professional nursing care to a diverse patient population, perform nursing assessments, assist with exams and treatments, educate patients, and maintain medical records. Communicate and collaborate with physicians and the interprofessional team to coordinate compassionate, quality care and achieve treatment outcomes. Assume leadership roles such as charge nurse or preceptor to students or new staff, and contribute to service line or hospital-wide initiatives. Demonstrate strong clinical judgment, time management, and problem-solving abilities; mentor teammates; uphold patient advocacy and standards of care. Proficient in documentation, patient education, and utilization of standard tools and technology to support safe, evidence-based nursing practice.
Required Qualifications
- RN - Registered Nurse
- Texas State Licensure (PSV Compact Licensure; must obtain permanent Texas license within 60 days if establishing Texas residency)
- BLS - Basic Life Support or Instructor (AHA)
- NIH Stroke Scale Certification (AHA)
