Job Summary
Provide and direct primary nursing care to ICU/SICU patients with cardiovascular/pulmonary/vascular deficits; utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for unstable patients and those requiring complex management; participate in unit leadership activities including serving as Charge Nurse, committee involvement, and orientation/education; coordinate resources for patient care; requires NJ nursing license and BLS; BSN within 5 years if not BSN; preferred ACLS/PALS; 72 hours per pay period with a 7P-7A shift; benefits package includes comprehensive healthcare and other fringe benefits.
Required Qualifications
- NJ State Nursing License
- BLS certification
- Graduate of accredited diploma, associate degree or baccalaureate degree nursing program
- Non-BSN’s must complete a BSN degree within 5 years’ of hire
- Two years’ experience in critical care nursing (preferred)
- ACLS Certification (preferred)
- PALS Certification (preferred)
- Education: BSN preferred
