Job Summary
Direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a technically complex environment, utilizing the nursing process and AACCN Synergy Model standards. Provide top-of-scope practice while prioritizing patient wellness, evidence-based care, and a multidisciplinary team approach. Support new hires through precepting and competency validation under clinical educator guidance. Requires 6 months of ICU or PCU experience, state RN licensure, and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Full-time, 72-hour night shift rotation at UCHealth Anschutz Medical Campus in Aurora, CO.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of ICU of PCU nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
