Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients from birth through the lifecycle while maintaining organizational standards of practice. Coordinate patient care activities for all assigned staff to ensure quality delivery. Maintain current Georgia State Licensure, BCLS, and ACLS certifications, completing additional specialty-specific training within 180 days as required. This PRN night shift role at Piedmont Newnan Hospital supports the hospital's patient lifecycle framework with a focus on professional growth and accountability.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate from a nursing program
- No experience required New Graduates of a nursing program eligible
- 1 year in a hospital setting for PRN positions
- RN - Registered Nurse - Georgia State Licensure and/or NLC/eNCL Multistate Licensure
- Current License in the State of Georgia as a Registered Nurse or NLC/eNLC Multistate License
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
- ACLS Certification
- CDN (Certified Dialysis Certificate)
- ACLS and PALS Certification
- Chemotherapy/Biotherapy Certification
- PEARS or PALS Certification
- PreOp/PACU/ENDO/CSU - ACLS; PALS if unit provides care to pediatric patients
- BLS required only
- Labor and Delivery-ACLS Certification
- NRP by the end of orientation period
- AWHONN Intermediate Fetal Monitoring Program
- NAT (Newborn Admission Team)- NRP
- Nursery- NRP
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- Nursing Experience in Hospital Setting
- Advanced certification in field of specialty
- PALS Certification
Additional Requirements
- Nurse Residents or nurses new to specialty will complete applicable certifications within 6 months of start date
