Job Summary
Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for diverse patient, family, and group requirements. Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources while serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team. Use the nursing process to deliver patient care, evaluate data to promote change, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws. Adapt communication styles and respect patient privacy within the ICU environment. Maintain knowledge of current regulatory standards and report any unethical behaviors or safety concerns immediately.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- Current registered nurse (RN) license in state of practice
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Proficiency in using computers, software, and web-based applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally to varying levels of individuals throughout the patient care process
- Excellent organizational and time management skills
- Ability to lift 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally
- Ability to lift 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently
- Ability to lift 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly
- Residence in Louisiana (not in Colorado, California, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Vermont, Washington, or Washington D.C.)
