Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients with multi-system issues in the ICU, utilizing growth and development principles to address age-specific needs. Gathers data through history taking and physical assessment to interpret information for clinical judgment, then develops, evaluates, and revises patient care plans in response to changing needs. Administer medications, document care progress, and teach patients or families about discharge or procedure preparation. Direct and supervise Licensed Nursing Assistants and unlicensed personnel while adhering to organizational standards and protocols. Requires BSN preferred, one year clinical experience, RN licensure in New Hampshire, and Basic Life Support certification. Works nights with a referral bonus eligible.
Required Qualifications
- Registered Nurse - New Hampshire Board of Nursing
- Basic Life Support - American Heart Association
- Graduated from an accredited School of Nursing
- One year prior clinical nursing experience
- Evidence of experience in working effectively and positively with patients, care providers, and the multi-disciplinary team
- Evidence of the ability to perform as a member of a team
- Must regularly lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 pounds
- Must frequently lift, carry or push/pull up to 10 - 25 pounds
- Must occasionally lift, carry or push/pull up to 20 - 50 pounds
- Must have color vision
- Must have depth perception
- Must have far vision
- Must have near vision
- Must have peripheral vision
- Must be regularly exposed to airborne pathogens, blood borne pathogens, and bodily fluids
- Must be occasionally exposed to airborne contaminants, chemotherapeutic agents, electrical hazards - shock, moving mechanical parts, non-weather related heat or cold, slippery surfaces, and toxic or caustic chemicals
