Job Summary
Assess, monitor, and coordinate care for high-acuity patients with conditions like sepsis, respiratory failure, and heart failure. Provide nursing care across ICU, Telemetry, Spine Orthopedics, and Med-Surg units based on hospital needs. Develop individualized care plans while collaborating with physicians, patients, and families. Educate patients and families regarding treatment and ongoing healthcare needs. Practice according to hospital policies, professional nursing standards, and Michigan regulations. Recognize changes in patient condition and respond to emergency situations. Requires recent ICU experience, Michigan RN license, BLS and ACLS certification, and Cerner experience. 12-hour night shifts on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays with 36 guaranteed hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Registered Nursing program
- Current Michigan RN license or ability to complete licensing by the end of orientation
- Current BLS certification
- Cerner experience required
- Recent ICU/critical care experience
- ACLS certification for ICU/Telemetry
- 12-hour night shifts
- Friday, Saturday & Sunday
- 36 guaranteed hours per week
- ASAP start
- Float assignment is communicated approximately 2 hours before the shift
Desired Qualifications
- Two years of experience in the desired specialty is preferred
- Specialty certification such as CCRN is preferred
- Previous hospital experience preferred
