Job Summary
Provide patient care in the 19-bed Critical Care Unit, including the 13-bed ICU and 6-bed Transitional Care Unit, utilizing the nursing process to evaluate care effectiveness and coordinate with other departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while ensuring patient rights and confidentiality. Work the night shift in a fast-paced environment, performing duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Requires current RN license, minimum one year of ICU experience, and certifications in BLS and ACLS.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum 1 year of ICU nursing experience
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license
- Missouri RN license or Compact State RN license
- Strong critical care, assessment, and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced hospital environment
- Ability to lift, push, and pull up to 50 pounds and stand/walk for extended periods
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification
- Additional unit-specific certifications as required
