RN ICU Full Time $7 Night differential

Job Summary
Conduct 12-hour ICU accountability for organizing, planning, directing, and providing high-quality, individualized patient and family-centered care based on the Watson Model of Care. Perform nursing assessments, prioritize patient care, and conduct hourly rounding while utilizing SBAR for all hand-offs. Document assessments, interdisciplinary plans of care, and outcomes; anticipate clinical changes and communicate promptly with physicians. Coordinate interdisciplinary discharge planning, supervise ancillary personnel, and participate in unit-specific quality and performance improvement activities. Requires minimum one year of Critical Care nursing experience, current California RN license, and BLS/ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Associates Degree in Nursing/equivalent or higher level of nursing degree
- Minimum of one (1) year of clinical nursing experience in Critical Care nursing
- RN's new to the specialty will have a minimum of one year clinical nursing experience
- Current California Nursing license
- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Health Care Providers from the American Heart Association
- Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
Desired Qualifications
- BSN
- Certification in Critical Care Nursing
- Internal candidates that have successfully completed the MLKCH Nurse Residency Program, Transition Program, or Cross Training
- Bilingual skills (Spanish)
- Basic computer skills
- Completion of Critical Care Course
- Electronic Medical Record experience
