Job Summary
Direct patient care in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU) within a technically complex environment, utilizing the nursing process and evidence-based care models. Provide top-of-scope practice while supporting a multidisciplinary team approach to achieve exceptional outcomes. Prioritize patient wellness and safety at the point of care, modeling proficiency through precepting new healthcare staff. Contribute to secure safety and quality standards under the guidance of clinical educators during orientation. Requires 6 months of ICU or PCU experience, state RN licensure, and current ACLS and BLS certifications. Full-time, part-time, or PRN shifts available including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited or state board of nursing approved Registered/Professional Nursing program
- State licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- 6 months of ICU or PCU nursing (RN) experience or completion of the UCHealth Fellowship program
- ACLS
- BLS - BLS through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross CPR for the Professional Rescuer with card in-hand before start date
- BLS or CPR card must be good through sixty days of hire
