Job Summary
Direct, plan, and organize nursing activities on the ICU unit for an assigned shift while delivering skilled patient care through the nursing process. Coordinate care among patients, families, physicians, and ancillary personnel, acting as the patient advocate while maintaining current professional nursing standards. Requires an active Louisiana nursing license, BLS certification within 30 days, and ACLS/PALS within 90 days, with previous ICU experience desired. Schedule is 7 AM to 7 PM days.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
- An active Louisiana nursing license in good standing with the Louisiana nursing board
- BLS certification within 30 days of the hire date
Desired Qualifications
- Previous clinical nursing experience working in the ICU
