Job Summary
Coordinate and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in the ICU by conducting thorough assessments, administering medications, and monitoring complex medical equipment like ventilators. Respond to medical emergencies by participating in life-saving interventions such as CPR and code team activities while assisting physicians during procedures. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to develop, implement, and evaluate individualized care plans, ensuring strict adherence to infection control protocols and National Patient Safety Goals. Document all patient care, education, and findings accurately in the medical record. This Full Time Day Shift role at Eastern New Mexico Medical Center offers up to a $15,000 sign-on bonus and comprehensive benefits including student loan repayment and licensure reimbursement.
Required Qualifications
- 0-2 years of experience in a clinical nursing role or student clinical rotations in an acute care setting
- Strong knowledge of the nursing process and clinical nursing practices
- Ability to perform thorough patient assessments and communicate findings effectively
- Proficient in administering medications and monitoring for side effects
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail in documenting patient care
- Knowledge of safety standards, infection control, and quality improvement initiatives
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure
- BCLS - Basic Life Support
