RN ICU

The RN in the ICU provides professional nursing care for high-acuity patients from medical, surgical, and cardiac units using the nursing process, with patient-family centered care, under the direction of the Nurse Leader. Responsibilities include assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and discharging; collaborating with patients and families to set goals; documenting education and learning in the health record; and developing teaching strategies for patients and families. The unit emphasizes teamwork and dedication to patients and families, with nursing care supported by Corewell Health policies and procedures. The facility is recognized as high-performing in multiple specialties and is partnered with local health and public health entities. The role requires an Associate and a Bachelor’s degree in nursing (Bachelor’s degree required within 5 years), MI RN licensure, BLS, ACLS within specified timelines, and consideration for specialty certification within 2 years.
