Job Summary

Coordinate patient assignments, admissions, discharges, and transfers to maintain efficient patient flow and optimal bed utilization in a 24-bed ICU unit. Organize direct and indirect patient care efficiently, prioritizing appropriately to create a collaborative environment for the healthcare team. Act as a patient advocate by initiating actions to improve healthcare decisions and ensuring informed consent before care is provided. Monitor quality, safety, and regulatory standards to ensure exceptional, patient-centered care. This role offers a 1:2 RN-to-patient ratio (1:1 based on acuity), with a schedule including time and a half after 8 hours plus weekend and night differentials. Candidates must hold a current California RN license, BLS certification, and obtain ACLS within one year of hire.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma, High School Equivalency (HSE) or Completion of a CHS Approved Individualized Education Plan (IEP) Certificate
  • RN - Current and valid Registered Nurse license to work within the state of California
  • BLS - Current Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers by American Heart Association (AHA)

Desired Qualifications

  • 5 years of RN experience in the ICU or Red Zone ED trained
