Job Summary
Monitor critically ill patients following injury surgery or life-threatening disease, taking shift reports and performing procedures like chest tube insertion, central line placement, wound care, and medication administration. Continuously assess patient needs, anticipate informational and emotional requirements, and guide Patient Care Technicians in daily tasks such as ambulation, hygiene, and drainage device management. Maintain equipment knowledge including IV pumps and monitors while initiating emergency support measures like cardiopulmonary resuscitation. Requires active California RN license, one year of ICU experience, BLS, and ACLS certification. Located at Dignity Health - California Hospital Medical Center in Los Angeles.
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the State of California
- 1 year of ICU experience in an acute care setting
- Basic Life Support (BLS) from the American Heart Association
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) from the American Heart Association
- Crisis Prevention Institute Training, within 90 days of hire
- LA City Fire Safety Training, within 90 days of hire
