Job Summary
Conduct a guided transition into emergency nursing through structured curriculum, experienced preceptors, and hands-on learning. Deliver patient-focused, whole-person care while completing required courses within six months of hire, including the 1017 Trauma Nursing Core Course and 1017 Emerg Nursing Pediatric Course. Maintain over 12 months of continuous RN work experience and one year of general nursing experience prior to this role. Work variable full-time shifts at Providence Alaska Medical Center, applying specialized training to support the most vulnerable in our communities as part of a comprehensive health care organization serving Alaska.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited nursing program
- Alaska Registered Nurse License
- 1017 Trauma Nursing Core Course (Facility Managed)
- 1017 Emerg Nursing Pediatric Course (Facility Managed)
- 1 year of Nursing experience (new to specialty)
- more than 12 months of continuous RN work experience
