Job Summary
The Registered Nurse I in the NICU provides professional nursing care using the nursing process for patients within the unit. In addition to providing direct patient care, the RN coordinates care throughout the hospital and collaborates with the healthcare team to meet patients' total needs. Previous clinical experience in a patient care setting is preferred, and the RN is expected to participate in patient education and assist in the activities of ancillary personnel.
Required Qualifications
- Current licensure to practice registered nursing in California
- Current AHA BLS certification upon hire
- ACLS, NRP, and PALS certifications as required by department
Additional Requirements
- Must complete required certifications before the 90 day provisional period
