Job Summary
Delivers quality nursing care to an assigned group of patients while minimizing infection risks and ensuring proper patient identification. Provides education, treatment planning, and discharge planning using the nursing process, anticipating deteriorating signs or equipment malfunctions to take appropriate action. Confirms patient identity via two identifiers, follows exposure control plans for pathogens, and communicates safety hazards to management. Demonstrates proper body mechanics and establishes a compassionate environment for patients and families. Requires current RN licensure (Texas or Compact), BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications, with 2 to 4 years of nursing experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN Licensure, either Texas or Compact
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification (PACU and ER only)
Desired Qualifications
- ENPC certification
- TNCC certification
- 2 to 4 years of experience in nursing
