Job Summary
Delivers quality nursing care to an assigned patient group while minimizing infection risks and ensuring proper patient identification. Confirms patient identity via two identifiers before procedures and provides education, treatment planning, and discharge instructions. Anticipates deteriorating life signs or equipment malfunctions to take appropriate action and participates in performance improvement processes. Communicates safety hazards to peers and management, follows exposure control plans, and demonstrates cultural competence. Establishes collaborative relationships with physicians and team members to achieve desired patient outcomes. Requires current Texas or Compact RN licensure, BLS, ACLS, and 2–4 years of nursing experience. Full-time 7a–7p shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing
- Current RN Licensure, either Texas or Compact
- BLS certification
- ACLS certification
- PALS certification (PACU and ER only)
Desired Qualifications
- ENPC certification
- TNCC certification
- 2 to 4 years of experience in nursing
