Job Summary
Assess, plan, and implement nursing care for patients in medical/surgical, emergency, and perioperative settings using the nursing process. Prioritize patient needs, develop individualized care plans, and coordinate services across the health care delivery system. Provide ongoing evaluation of patient responses, anticipate status changes, and modify care plans in collaboration with the health care team. Deliver patient and family education, counseling, and orientation to nursing services while adhering to Kaiser Foundation Health Plan of Washington standards for safety, infection control, and documentation.
Required Qualifications
- Associates degree in Nursing from an accredited program
- Registered Nurse License (Washington) required at hire OR Compact License: Registered Nurse required at hire
- Basic Life Support required at hire
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 6 months of hire
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support required at hire
- Communication, problem-solving, leadership and decision-making skills
Desired Qualifications
- Ambulatory care nursing experience
- Primary nursing or case-management experience
- Bachelor of science in Nursing (BSN)
- Emergency department nursing experience
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support at hire
