Job Summary

Provide skilled nursing care and document clinical skills in accordance with physician's orders and the nursing care plan. Identify new problems, changes, or resolutions, notify the Director or Supervisor as required, and obtain necessary intervention orders per stat regulations. Perform specific treatments and medication administration while observing aseptic technique, and complete all clinical documentation accurately and timely. Collaborate with the patient, physician, and healthcare team, demonstrating critical thinking and compliance with State and Federal regulations. Travel frequently to private homes in Raleigh to render care, adhering to company policies, dress code, and on-time scheduling requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Graduation from an approved certification/program/accredited school/undergraduate/graduate school or post graduate education
  • Hold a valid/unencumbered verification/license to practice the job as described in the state where services are provided
  • Have professional experience as required per state regulations to perform the job as described
  • Successful completion of assigned screening/competency testing with a proficiency score of 80% or greater
  • Reliable transportation
  • Provide copy of current TB results or Chest x-ray
  • Provide copy of current CPR certification as per agency policy
  • Be flexible, organized and have the ability to exercise independent and sound judgment to perform the job duties/responsibilities
  • Ability to regularly, sit, stand, stop, bend, kneel, walk, balance, crouch, crawl, push, pull and reach with hands and arms and other physical activities as deemed necessary by job duties
  • Vision and Hearing capabilities within normal limits, with or without aid
  • Ability to frequently lift and or move up to 15 pounds and occasionally lift or move 100 pounds or more if applicable
  • Ability to perform the anticipated level of physical assist required to provide safe client care
  • Ability to travel frequently to complete home health visits
