Job Summary
Administer medications within scope of practice and hospital policies while assessing, evaluating, and documenting patients' physical and mental status. Establish rapport with patients and families to promote independence by teaching self-care skills and resolving care needs through multidisciplinary teams. Ensure quality of care by adhering to therapeutic standards, measuring health outcomes, and maintaining safe, clean environments that protect patients and employees. Maintain patient confidentiality by documenting actions and irregularities in electronic medical records while staying current with professional publications and educational workshops. Contribute to team effort by meeting Press Ganey and AIDET standards and supporting the organization's mission through compassionate, evidence-based practice. Requires 3 years of Med Surg/Critical Care experience, BSN preferred, and active RN licensure with ACLS certification.
Required Qualifications
- Licensed Registered Nurse
- College Diploma Nursing
- 3 Years Experience in Med Surg/Critical Care
- Certified Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation
- Thorough knowledge of a variety of medical equipment
- Ability to administer medications per policy and procedure
- Ability to follow the National Patient Safety Goals
- Ability to interpret lab and diagnostic results as it relates to patients status
- Ability to communicate with all disciplines using SBAR
