RN - Heart & Vascular Inpatient

RN provides patient-centered cardiovascular inpatient care on specialized units (HVC) with responsibilities including assessment, collaborative care with patients and families, planning and implementing a care plan, and evaluating outcomes. Requires adherence to ANA Scope and Standards of Practice, professional leadership and communication, and practice that reflects CT Nurse Practice Act. The role supports post-operative cardiac care (e.g., CABG, valve replacement), management of dysrhythmias, catheterization/angioplasty/stent procedures, pacemaker/ICD care, and multidisciplinary coordination. Licensure as a Connecticut RN is required; BSN is preferred; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; opportunities exist for certification and advancement through the SPIRE program.
