Job Summary
RN on the Heart & Vascular Inpatient units providing patient-centered care across cardiovascular services. Responsibilities follow the ANA Scope and Standards of Practice including assessment, diagnosis, outcomes identification, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Collaboration with patients, families, and healthcare team; health teaching and promotion; ethical practice; culturally congruent care; and leadership within the professional practice setting. Requires licensure in Connecticut and a BSN (preferred); BCLS certification within one month of hire; opportunity for clinical advancement through SPIRE program. Cardiac units include 5-2 SP, 5-3 SP, V3E, and V5E with inpatient cardiovascular and post-operative care such as CABG, valve replacements, pacemaker/ICD management, and heart failure care.
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Current BCLS certification or able to obtain within one month of hire
