RN - Heart & Vascular ICU

Registered Nurse in the Heart & Vascular/Cardiac ICU (CTICU/CTICU-WP3) provides ongoing assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of patient care on a neuro/cardiac vascular unit, acts as preceptor and charge nurse, and coordinates care with the healthcare team. Responsibilities include developing and documenting plans of care with patient/family input, educating patients and families, supervising non-RN staff, and performing advanced procedures such as airway management, tracheostomy suctioning, and care for patients on ventilators and those requiring ECMO/IABP/Impella devices. The role requires nursing education and competency in neuro patient care, device management, and participation in the SPIRE clinical advancement program. BSN preferred; current CT licensure; BCLS certification required within one month of hire; opportunities for professional development and continued education.
