Job Summary
RN - Heart & Vascular ICU role providing direct patient care on a Cardiac ICU/CTICU unit. Responsibilities include assessing patients throughout care continuum, developing and documenting Plan of Care, coordinating with the healthcare team, supervising non-RN staff, serving as Charge Nurse and Preceptor, and delivering education to patients and families. Requires graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred; active RN license in Connecticut (BCLS required or obtained within one month). Unit cares for complex cardiac patients including post-CABG/valve replacements, LVAD/ECMO-capable cases; experience with ventilated patients and specialized procedures is expected. Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
- BSN preferred
- Current BCLS certification or obtain within one month of hire
- Licensed and a currently registered nurse in the State of Connecticut
- Clinical specialty certification encouraged
