Job Summary
RN - Heart & Vascular ICU Inpatient: provides and coordinates patient care on a neuro-cardiac ICU unit, functions as preceptor and charge nurse, oversees education and discharge planning, and collaborates with the healthcare team to implement and evaluate plans of care._required skills include neuro assessment, airway management of neuro patients, care of trached patients, ventilator management, and familiarity with devices used in advanced heart failure management (e.g., IABP, Impella, LVAD) and ECMO; unit types include CTICU/WP3, HVC Cardiovascular ICU and Stepdown; BSN preferred and CT license required._
Required Qualifications
- Graduation from an accredited school of nursing.
- Current Licensed Registered Nurse in the State of Connecticut.
- BSN preferred.
- BCLS certification or must obtain within one month of hire.
