Job Summary
Assess residents' health status on admission and ongoing, document assessments, develop and revise dynamic care plans with an interdisciplinary team, and communicate plans to residents, families, and IDT members. Administer nursing interventions including medications and IV fluids, document all interventions accurately and timely, and monitor outcomes using the QAPI process. Notify physicians using SBARR as conditions change, assist with ADLs, and remain composed during crises. Maintain current nursing practices and participate in ongoing education; may be assigned other duties as appropriate.
Required Qualifications
- Education from an accredited school of nursing resulting in becoming a registered nurse
- Current RN license in the state you will be working
- CPR/AED certification required, or willing to obtain within six months of employment
- Long-term care experience preferred
- Critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
- Ability to lift heavy objects using proper lifting techniques and with assistance as necessary
- Manual dexterity, coordination and skillful use of hands when working with patients and equipment
- Visual acuity with the ability to distinguish color
- Ability to physically perform necessary documentation electronically and in writing
