Job Summary
The Head Nurse NICU oversees patient care, clinical leadership, and staff management for a NICU nursing unit. Leads and collaborates with nursing leadership to ensure safe, high-quality care, aligns with hospital mission and policies, and supports life-long learning. Responsibilities include interpreting and guiding care using the nursing process, supervising and mentoring nursing staff, participating in performance evaluations and staffing, coaching, hiring decisions, and driving departmental improvements. Requires RN licensure and BLS certification within 14 days of hire; ACLS preferred. Must coordinate care, ensure patient autonomy, dignity, and rights, and partner with families and multidisciplinary teams to optimize outcomes.
Required Qualifications

- Minimum 2 years experience on current unit or in like setting
