RN - Graduate Nurse Residency, Mercy Hospital South

Conduct patient care in Critical Care units including Neuro Step Down, Med Surg ICU, and Cardiovascular Step Down using the nursing process. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments. Participate in an 8–16 week hands-on clinical residency program featuring one-on-one mentoring, classroom training, and structured sessions led by nurse educators. Apply the nursing process to evaluate care effectiveness and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Work alongside experienced mentors to build clinical confidence and critical thinking skills within a supportive learning environment.
