Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for all age groups in the Progressive Care Unit. Monitor and coordinate care with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. Manage cardiac patients, acute respiratory distress cases, and septic patients who are too sick for the floor but not yet ICU level. Provide high-flow oxygen or non-invasive ventilation support as needed. Maintain strong assessment skills and teamwork in a fast-paced environment combining ED and critical care aspects. Work 36 hours per week on nights.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
