Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care for all age groups on the Medical A floor. Monitor and coordinate care activities with ancillary departments to optimize patient comfort. Educate patients on procedural expectations, surgical outcomes, and discharge medications. Maintain current RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification within state guidelines. Work 36 hours per week on night shifts in a 30-bed unit serving chronically ill patients requiring multidisciplinary treatment plans.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- 36 hours per week, Nights
