Job Summary
Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate direct patient care activities for all age groups on the Medical A floor. Monitor and coordinate patient care with ancillary departments to optimize comfort while adhering to nursing practice guidelines and Mercy Service Standards. Educate patients on procedural expectations, surgical outcomes, and discharge medications within a 30-bed unit treating chronically ill individuals. Perform duties consistent with state Nurse Practice Act and professional ethics. Work 36 hours per week on nights with a sign-on bonus of $10,000 for graduates or $13,000 for experienced nurses. Join a collaborative team focused on multidiscipline treatment plans and compassionate patient support.
Required Qualifications
- Graduated from a school of nursing (Associate's Degree, Diploma, or BSN)
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or successful completion of course within 30 days of hire
- Medical A RN
- 36 hours per week, Nights
