Job Summary
Provide patient care using the nursing process across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health departments at Mercy St. Louis facilities. Maintain professional accountability, coordinate care with other departments, and ensure patient confidentiality. Work flexible 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts on various days, including weekends and holidays, with a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days. Be available for short notice and accept last-minute cancellations. Earn $40/hour plus variable shift incentives. Requires current RN license, one to two years of recent bed-side experience depending on specialty, and relevant certifications like BLS, ACLS, or PALS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- For all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.) a minimum of two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
