Job Summary
Flexible RN GIG/per-diem opportunities across Mercy Southeast in Cape Girardeau and surrounding communities. RNs can pick day or night shifts with variable hours (minimum 12 hours every 90 days, maximum 30 hours per week) under the Gig Nursing Program; positions are W-2, with incentives and no guaranteed hours. Roles span multiple departments (BH, ED, ICU, MS, Women’s Health including L&D/M&B) with opportunities to work 4, 8, or 12 hour shifts and schedule flexibility. Requires RN licensure (state or compact) and graduation from an accredited nursing program; BSN preferred. Certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS may be required depending on specialty. Epic experience is preferred. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Mercy offers benefits and tuition support foreligible staff.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered nursing program
- RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Minimum 1 year bedside RN experience for Med Surg; 2 years for specialty areas (ED, ICU, etc.)
- Certifications as applicable (BLS; ACLS for CC; PALS for ED; etc.)
