Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care across Behavioral Health, Emergency, Intensive Care, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments and ensuring patient confidentiality. Participate in the Gig Nursing Program by scheduling a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days and remaining available on short notice for last-minute cancellations. Work various shifts including 4, 8, or 12-hour rotations at Mercy facilities in Missouri, earning $40/hour plus variable incentives. Requires current RN license, recent bed-side experience, and relevant certifications such as BLS, ACLS, or PALS depending on specialty.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department (ED)
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Responsibility for scheduling a minimum number of hours
- Availability on short notice
