Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days, with availability for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts across various locations including Mercy Perry, Mercy St. Louis, and Mercy Jefferson. Work in departments such as Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health. Earn $40/hour plus variable shift incentives.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience for ED, ICU, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B), and Critical Care
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice

- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
