Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health departments at Mercy Perry and surrounding facilities. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by other direct caregivers and coordinate patient care in conjunction with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Perform duties consistent with Mercy Service Standards, including pushing and lifting up to 50 pounds and prolonged standing. Schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days with availability on short notice, subject to last-minute cancellations. Earn $40/hour plus variable shift incentives for flexible 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts. Maintain current RN licensure and required specialty-specific certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience for ED, ICU, Behavioral Health, Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B)
- BLS certification for Med Surg, Behavioral Health, and Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B)
- BLS and ACLS certifications for Critical Care (CC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department (ED)
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
