Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care across Behavioral Health, Emergency Department, Intensive Care Unit, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health departments. Maintain professional accountability for assigned patients, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Participate in the Gig Nursing Program by scheduling a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days while remaining available on short notice for last-minute cancellations. Work various shifts ranging from 4 to 12 hours, including day and night options, with a maximum of 30 hours per week. Lift up to 50 pounds and stand or walk for prolonged periods. Earn $40/hour plus variable shift incentives as a W-2 employee.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience for ED, ICU, Behavioral Health, Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B)
- BLS certification for Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B), and Critical Care (CC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department (ED)
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to work various shifts including day shift or night shift
- Responsibility for scheduling a minimum number of hours
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility and willingness to be subject to last minute shift cancellation
- Understanding that the Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours
