Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health departments while maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other caregivers. Evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers and ensure patient rights and confidentiality are upheld. Schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days and remain available on short notice for flexible day, night, or weekend shifts, understanding that last-minute cancellations may occur. Maintain a current RN license and recent bed-side experience, with specific specialty requirements for ED, ICU, or critical care roles. Lift up to 50 pounds regularly and stand or walk for the duration of each shift.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- BSN preferred
- Is personally responsible for obtaining, and maintaining, a current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure in which nursing duties are performed and must meet all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- For all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.) a minimum of two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience
- For Med Surg, Behavioral Health and Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B) - BLS
- For Critical Care (CC) - BLS, ACLS
- For Emergency Department (ED) - BLS, ACLS, & PALS
- Position requires individuals to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Position requires prolonged standing and walking each shift
- Position requires the ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- No weekend, holiday, or shift requirement
- Participation in the Gig Nursing Program requires being responsible for scheduling a minimum number of hours
- Being available on short notice
- Being flexible
- Subject to last minute shift cancellation
- The Gig Nursing Program does not offer guaranteed shift hours
- Will be the first for cancellation
