Job Summary
Provide patient care across Behavioral Health, Emergency, ICU, Medical-Surgical, and Women's Health units at Mercy Jefferson and surrounding communities. Utilize the nursing process to maintain accountability for assigned patients while coordinating care with other departments. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality in accordance with Mercy Service Standards. Schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days with maximum flexibility for 4, 8, or 12-hour shifts. Work various shifts including day or night, with no weekend or holiday requirements, though participation requires availability on short notice and subject to last-minute cancellations. Earn $40/hour plus variable shift incentives as a W-2 employee.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current RN license within the hiring state and/or compact licensure meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent specialty specific bed-side RN experience for all other specialties (ED, ICU, etc.)
- BLS certification for Med Surg, Behavioral Health, Women's Health (L&D, NICU, M&B), and Critical Care (CC)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department (ED)
- Ability to push, pull, and/or lift 50 pounds on a regular basis
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
- Availability on short notice
