Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care while maintaining professional accountability for assigned patients. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of care provided by direct caregivers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality of patient information consistent with Mercy Service Standards. Work flexible shifts in Emergency Department, Medical-Surgical, or Labor & Delivery units. Obtain and maintain a current compact RN license and required certifications such as BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Schedule a minimum of 12 hours every 90 days and be available on short notice, subject to last-minute shift cancellations.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited registered professional nursing program
- Current compact RN license
- One year of recent bed-side RN experience to work Med Surg
- Minimum of two years of recent bed-side RN experience for ED, L&D, and other specialties
- BLS certification for Med Surg and Women's Health (L&D)
- BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications for Emergency Department (ED)
- Ability to pick up day shift OR night shift
- Responsibility for scheduling a minimum number of hours
- Availability on short notice
- Flexibility

- W-2 Employee status
- Minimum of 12 hours worked every 90 days
