Job Summary
Provide patient care on the General Surgery Medical-Surgical inpatient unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care with other departments, evaluate the effectiveness of direct care givers, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Maintain licensure in Missouri or hold compact licensure, with BLS certification required within 30 days of hire. This night shift role (7:00 PM-7:30 AM) offers part-time hours of 24 weeks per year. Experienced nurses receive up to $10,000 and new graduates up to $5,000 in sign-on bonuses.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Completion of BLS certification within 30 days of hire
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
