Job Summary
Provide patient care on the General Surgery Medical-Surgical inpatient unit using the nursing process while maintaining professional accountability. Coordinate care with other departments and evaluate the effectiveness of direct care givers. Maintain patient rights and confidentiality consistent with service standards. Requires current Missouri RN license, BLS certification, and ability to lift up to 50 lbs with prolonged standing. Night shift from 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM, part-time schedule of 24 hours per week. Experienced nurses receive up to $10,000 sign-on bonus; new graduates receive up to $5,000.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with an Associate Degree in Nursing
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Nursing Diploma
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)
- Current Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Missouri
- Compact licensure in accordance with state board of nursing regulations
- Previous hospital experience
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat as needed to perform nursing duties
