Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned General Surgery patients under RN supervision, maintaining professional accountability and coordinating care with other departments. Obtain and maintain a current RN license, ensuring compliance with state board requirements and BLS certification. Manage patient rights and confidentiality while performing duties that include pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 50 lbs regularly, along with prolonged standing, walking, and bending. Work a part-time schedule of 24 hours per week from 7:00 pm to 7:00 am at Mercy Hospital South in St. Louis. Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
