Job Summary
Utilize the nursing process to provide patient care for assigned general surgery patients under RN supervision. Maintain professional accountability for patient care, coordinate care with other departments, and uphold patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain a current RN license and Basic Life Support certification. Push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly while standing, walking, and performing physical duties required for the role.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
