Job Summary
Provide patient care under RN supervision using the nursing process for assigned General Surgery patients. Coordinate care with other departments while maintaining patient rights and confidentiality. Obtain and maintain current RN licensure and BLS certification within 30 days of hire. Requires minimum 2 years of patient care experience, ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and prolonged standing. Works part-time days (7:00pm–7:00am) for 24 hours per week at Mercy Hospital South. Join a collaborative team where your voice matters.
Required Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current RN license in the hiring state and/or compact licensure
- Meeting all state board of nursing requirements
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or completion within 30 days of hire
- Minimum of 2 years of patient care experience
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly
- Ability to grip, reach, bend, kneel, twist, and squat to perform duties
